A Saturday for Rob Thomas

Rob Thomas is one of my favorite’s.. If Matchbox Twenty rings bells, you might know who he is :) ..

But here is a very special song. What better way to start a sunny Saturday morning than listening to this ..with the many things that run through my head, a recollection of many things the past weeks… what matters is a collection of moments. That’s all there is ever to it :) .. might as well make it count.

Let your clarity define you
In the end
We will only just remember how it feels

Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders “

He tells the story of how he came to write this song here :

Who knew it stemmed from a moment with his furry four-legged waggy-tailed friend?
While the arpeggiation has a downward progression, and a melancholic setting, the text is that of a hopeful one .. and this polarity is what makes this one click..well, at least for me :)

While I am on the Rob Thomas subject, why not link you to another one of his as well :)? Check the video right below the first one.

David Gray - Gem

One of the most original artists I have had the pleasure of coming across. Such incredible artistry in what can be called nothing but a rarity in the form he does it. Every piece a cherishable take rendering me to throw in almost all of his pieces here as a queue. If an answer is to be made under compulsion, my first exposure to his “White Ladder” release could be one worthy place to start. Be it a sunny day and sinking into a hammock or a cold evening with splinters crackling by a dash of scotch, the list does it.

On a related note, the show Scrubs (in another, an incredible TV-series by and in itself) included the track “Please forgive me“ whos live version thereby introduced me to that extraordinary drummer who seemed to have assisted in the live take of the same.

Rayland Baxter

Sweet Sunday-Morning jam on the background on the speakers. Much needed ingredient when flipping the pan of eggs. On another note, why is that only 300 other people have listened to this on his official channel? I have contributed to 26 of those views. Now, c’mon!.

mid day nostalgi.

One of the first tunes that strike my mind upon the beginning of snow - unintentionally taking the course and twists and turns of that of cherry blossoms, suspended in the wind, just like the chords themselves.
